Summer is so close

Funny that I wanted to start the Title like that as the snow flakes are falling from the sky again!!! Sorry, but it pisses me off tremendously.

Erin and I got away from the Bow Valley this past weekend. We went to Revelstoke on Thursday night and climbed in that area both Friday and Saturday. It was great. Mainly because it was so much nicer than Canmore. Sunny, warm, the rock was dry and no crowds! Imagine that.

First day we climbed in the Raptor area of the Begbie Bluffs. It was nice and overhanging. I don´t think I have ever climbed such steep easy routes, amazing! We ran into a friend, Norbs, who was wondering around alone and we all went and did a few routes together.
Saturday we headed for Begbie Falls which has an epic 50 meter long approach! I doubt it was that long actually, one could listen to the car stereo while climbing!!! This we did with one of my co-workers, Alex! Again, steep and easy (I did the steepest 10a I have ever done, very overhanging but HUGE holds....it was frigging awesome).

After the session on Saturday Erin, Alex and I drove to Vernon were we celebrated at Mark and Ann´s place. Ann turned 40 so it was party time.

Well, now we are back in Canmore and it is snowing again. Supposed to get sunny tomorrow and stay sunny until the fall hopefully!

Mikes bouldering basement yesterday. Mike and I had a crazy good session there and I am feeling it a bit today which is great! Going back today for more torture.
